Industrial-organizational (I-O) psychology is the scientific study of working and the application of that science to workplace issues facing individuals, teams, and organizations. The scientific method is applied to investigate issues of critical relevance to individuals, businesses, and society.
SIOP has determined that a key goal of the Society is to assist educators in offering curriculum that includes a look at the science and practice behind industrial and organizational psychology. To that end, SIOP offers the various modules above that are aimed at providing the platform needed for classroom instruction.
*If your school or organization is interested in having an I-O psychologist give a talk on the subject of I-O psychology as a career, please contact the SIOP office at (419)-353-0032 or email us at siop@siop.org.
