SIOP Welcomes New Officers!




The results of the November election are in, and SIOP’s newest Executive Board officers are:


Tammy Allen-President-Elect
Kathleen Lundquist-Financial Officer/Secretary
Allan Church-Publications Officer
Eric Heggestad-Membership Services Officer


The new officers will take their positions at SIOP’s 26th Annual Conference, April 26-28 in San Diego. Continue reading to find out more about the newest members of SIOP’s Executive Board.
Tammy D. Allen is a professor of Psychology at the University of South Florida. She received her PhD from the University of Tennessee in 1996. Prior to graduate school she was a manager in the health insurance industry, where she worked for 7 years. She has served SIOP in numerous roles during the past 15 years, including 3 years on the Executive Board (2008-2010), Program Chair (2007), Chair of Scientific Affairs (current), and as a member of the Frontiers Series, Awards, Membership, and various ad hoc committees. She has attended every SIOP conference since presenting her first poster in 1993. She is a Fellow of SIOP and APA. Her research and consulting links science and practice and has resulted in 80 peer-reviewed journal articles, 3 books, and over 20 book chapters on topics that include work-family, career development/mentoring, citizenship behavior, and occupational health. She is the current associate editor of Journal of Applied Psychology, past associate editor of Journal of Occupational Health Psychology, and has served on multiple editorial boards. Allen’s experiences in other professional associations include being an elected executive committee member of the Careers Division of the Academy of Management, a current member of the steering committee of the recently formed Work Family Researchers Network, and a founding member of the Society for Occupational Health Psychology.
Kathleen K. Lundquist is president & CEO of APTMetrics, Inc., in Darien, CT. Her firm provides consulting services to Fortune 100 companies in the design and implementation of HR processes. She is also a nationally recognized expert witness in employment discrimination class actions and has been a court-appointed expert in several high-profile class action settlements. She currently serves on the board of directors of the National Council for Research on Women.
Allan H. Church is vice president Global Talent Development for PepsiCo where he is responsible for leading the talent management and people development agenda across the global enterprise (including succession planning, performance management, surveys, assessments, etc.). Prior to PepsiCo he spent many years as an external OD consultant working for Warner Burke Associates and at IBM as well. On the side, he has served as an adjunct professor at Columbia University, visiting faculty scholar at Benedictine University, chair of the Mayflower Group, and executive member of the Council of Talent Management Executives. He received his PhD from Columbia University, and is a SIOP, APA, and APS Fellow.

Eric Heggestad received his PhD in 1997 and has worked in both practice (U.S. Air Force, HumRRO) and academic settings (Colorado State University; UNC Charlotte). He enjoys working for SIOP and, over the last 10 years, has held various roles within the organization, including committee member (I-O teaching award and S. Raines Wallace Best Dissertation Award), chair (Flanagan Award Committee for the best student paper), program chair (I-O track, APS Convention), chair (Education and Training Committee), and chair (Conference Evaluation Committee).
