SIOP Spotlight on...Publications



Read TIP, IOP Journal, and More Online!

SIOP members receive numerous benefits of Society membership, including subscriptions to quarterly publications The Industrial-Organizational Psychologist (TIP) and Industrial and Organizational Psychology: Perspectives on Science and Practice (IOP), but did you know you can also access these publications wherever you are on the SIOP Website?

The SIOP “Publications” menu, located on the drop-down menu bar of SIOP.org, includes links to TIP, IOP, Newsbriefs, and more. This tab is the place to go for access to all of SIOP’s publications online!

, the official quarterly news publication of SIOP, is mailed to all members and is also available online. Access TIP under the “Publications” menu or go directly to http://siop.org/tip/tip.aspx. Click the link to the current issue on the TIP homepage, or visit the “Back Issues and Archives” button to access issues from 1965 through today. You can read many of the issues in both PDF and HTML formats. For those who would rather read TIP online than in print, SIOP offers an online-only option. Simply log in to the SIOP website, click on "Update contact information," and select to read TIP only online.


SIOP members receive quarterly issues of SIOP’s premier journal, Industrial and Organizational Psychology: Perspectives on Science and Practice (IOP), as a part of membership, with a copy of each issue mailed to members, but this publication is also available online. Log in to the SIOP website and visit the journal link on the “Publications” menu (http://siop.org/journal/siopjournal.aspx) to begin reading! You can also access current focal articles on the journal website and submit your own commentary for consideration for publication.
The newest addition to SIOP’s publications is a research collaboration between SIOP and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). Authors from both organizations are taking steps to put I-O psychology into the hands of HR practitioners. To accomplish these goals, SIOP is working to develop materials about topics that will be published and distributed by SHRM to its membership. Each collaborative article will be posted on SIOP’s Web site and can also be viewed on SHRM's Web site here. You can read articles in this collaboration on the collaboration landing page under the “Publications” menu or directly at http://www.siop.org/siop-shrm/default.aspx. The first two articles are:
