SIOP Policies Give You Control Over Your Data

If you’re like most people, you have received a flurry of emails in recent weeks, telling you about improved privacy policies and inviting you to opt back into mailing lists. These emails are part of the response to a social climate demanding that people have more control over their personal data and how it is used.

Like many other organizations using computerized data, SIOP has updated its privacy policy and terms of use. Administrative office staff, leadership, and SIOP consultants have been working for the past several months to create policies and procedures clarifying the organization’s data collection and use policies, and articulating the rights of SIOP website users in relation to their data.

You will find a link to SIOP’s privacy policy at the bottom of the page on SIOP.org.  Additionally, you will find a link for SIOP’s terms of use on the bottom of my.SIOP pages.  The additional information is required by the interactive, membership features available to users on my.SIOP once they’ve signed in.

We encourage you to be an informed user of the services available through SIOP and the SIOP website. Please take a few moments to read the policies today, and don’t hesitate to reach out to the office staff if you have questions.
