2018 Institute of Work Psychology International Conference

by SIOP Administrative Office

Deadline for Submissions December 7, 2017

The Institute of Work Psychology International Conference is held every two years and invites academic contributions on new developments, approaches, and knowledge in the areas of work, well-being and performance research. This includes theoretical as well as empirical proposals, which open new questions and inspire new ways of understanding people at work.

It’s a friendly event, attracting I-O psychologists from around 40 countries to discuss issues of the moment that are unconventional as well as conventional. Contributions from all areas of work, industrial, organizational, social and vocational psychology as well as HRM and organizational behavior are welcome.

The 2018 conference will take place June 19-21, 2018 in Sheffield, UK. The theme for the conference is “Work Psychology: Shaping the Future.” The sixth international conference promises to be the best yet. Share your ideas and get inspired by the newest developments, find fresh perspectives and dare to pose new questions, meet old friends and new collaborators, at the Sheffield University Management School.

The deadline for submissions is Friday, December 7, 2017. Contributors will be informed whether their submission has been selected for presentation at the conference and in which format by the end of February 2018.

Previous North American participants have reported favorably about their experience, and 2018 keynote speakers include SIOP Fellows Tim Judge and Kevin Kelloway.  Consider joining them and other enthusiasts for a stimulating few days. The conference is also ideally placed for part of a European holiday!

Details about the meeting and how to submit a paper can be found on the event website.

Hosted by the Institute of Work Psychology, Sheffield University Management School, the biennial conference is now in its sixth year. Each past event has welcomed more than 150 delegates from across 36 countries.
