Bright Future for SIOP and I-O

Special Announcement by SIOP President Tammy Allen

As you have certainly heard by now, a Branding Task Force led by Chris Rotolo in an initiative started under the presidency of Doug Reynolds has been working diligently over the past 2 years on an initiative to enhance the brand of the Society.

SIOP is very pleased to announce today that all of our efforts have culminated in an exciting new step forward for our organization and our field. We will soon introduce our new brand!

This brand includes several visual changes that will be easy for you to see, including:

  • A new logo and tagline
  • Changes to the SIOP website and other online platforms
  • Updates to brochures, advertisements, and other promotional materials

However, our work is not just about changing the way we look. This initiative is an all-encompassing strategy to build the SIOP brand, and the broader I-O brand by association. Various efforts to develop the brand have occurred for more than a decade. This was an extensive, research-based effort that has taken a lot of planning and preparation. At last year’s annual conference we shared the progress the Branding Task Force had made as well as a few developments to look forward to for the coming year. This year’s annual conference will serve as a kick-off event for the new brand—a celebration of who we are and all that we have ahead of us. Our meeting in Honolulu will be the perfect place to celebrate the bright future SIOP and I-O have to look forward to.

We plan to give you all a sneak peak of the new brand before we get to Hawaii. Check your inboxes and the SIOP website in the next few weeks for a look at our new logo and tagline!
